You can't see the sealant, the hanger spacing, or the screws holding everything to your fascia board. That's precisely why these details matter so much, and why most companies don't talk about them.
We do..032" Gauge Aluminum
Gauge is the thickness of the aluminum your gutters are made from. It's what decides whether they hold their shape once real weight sits inside them.
Most gutter companies use .028" gauge aluminum. It's lighter, cheaper, and faster to work with.
Thicker .032" gauge aluminum
We use .032" gauge aluminum on every installation. That extra thickness translates directly to structural performance.
Built to hold its shape
Snow piles up and ice forms inside the channel all winter. Thinner gutters sag, warp, and pull away from the fascia. Heavier aluminum holds its shape.
GeoCel Flexible Sealant
Sealant is what keeps every joint, corner, and end cap watertight. The kind your installer uses decides whether those seals last one season or twenty.
Aluminum expands in the summer heat and contracts in the cold. In Chicago, that swing is big. Generic sealants are rigid, so all that movement cracks them, and cracked sealant means leaking joints.

Hangers are the fasteners that hold your gutter to the fascia board of your home. Their placement and quality determine how well your gutter system stays in position over time.
Most companies install hangers every 36 inches. That's the minimum requirement in most areas and the approach most companies default to because it's faster.

Gutter Apron Flashing
Gutter apron is a piece of metal flashing installed under the bottom row of shingles and over the back of the gutter. Its job is to send water into the gutter channel instead of letting it run behind the gutter and down the fascia board.
It adds time and material cost to the job. If a crew is rushing to finish fast, it's an easy thing to cut.
